If you've had trouble getting to or staying asleep, or don't feel refreshed in the mornings, for more than 3 months you may have clinical insomnia. CBT-I is the preferred treatment in Canada and the US, and is becoming more popular in the UK because of its fast, long lasting results. CBT-I is suitable for almost any insomnia client, although an assessment is necessary to ensure that it's suitable for you. It's also contraindicated for untreated sleep apnoea, seizures, bipolar or panic disorder.
